How Can you Support Them?

That man hiding his financial anxiety,

Unaware how to meet his basic needs,

As days turn to weeks, to months,

Is a hard working teacher!

I caught him smiling in front of his class 

He had such infectious laughter,

Not a single student maintained a sad face.

And yet deep down his heart he knew,

He had to retire to a sad reality,

"How do I make ends meet?"

Bless that teacher!

That woman who spent a night,

Nursing a patient in a hospital bed

Is a hard working teacher!

"Give me a break", she said,

To fears of losing her mother

So she can honor a school timetable,

Keeping her students on normal progress,

Crown that teacher a heroine!

That man who walked out of the doctor's office,

Abandoned "advised to rest recommendation" 

Is a hard working teacher!

I heard him coughing in front of his class,

In honor of the school time table,

So students can stay on schedule,

Give that teacher a break!
